The common phenomena and treatment methods caused by color masterbatch in injection molding production

The color masterbatch causes the common phenomenon of injection molding production:

 A, uneven color causes: high cylinder temperature, long molding cycle and poor resin compatibility. Treatment method: reduce the temperature of the cylinder and adopt a compatible carrier. 

B, poor luster causes: low temperature outside the nozzle, long molding cycle, more titanium dioxide in the color masterbatch, poor pigment dispersion in the color masterbatch. 

Treatment method: 

increase the nozzle temperature, shorten the molding cycle. Reduce titanium dioxide in the color masterbatch and improve the pigment dispersion in the color masterbatch. Color masterbatch, also known as color seed, is a kind of aggregate made by the uniform attachment of a super constant pigment or dye to the resin. Several advantages of the use of color masterbatch: 1. Help to maintain the chemical stability of the pigment and color stability; 

2. Make the pigment have better dispersion in the plastic; 

3. Protect the health of operators;

 4. Simple process, easy to change color; 

5. Clean environment, non-contaminated utensils;

Because the pigment in the storage and use of the process of direct contact with the air, so there will be moisture absorption, oxidation, clumping and other phenomena, direct use will appear on the surface of plastic products, color dark, color easy to fade, and cause dust flying when mixing, affecting the health of the operator. And the color masterbatch in the production process through mechanical processing, the pigment is refined, the pigment and resin carrier, dispersant is mixed fully, so that the pigment is isolated from the air and water, thus enhancing the pigment's weather resistance, improve the dispersion and coloring power of the pigment, and the color is bright. Because the color masterbatch is similar to the resin particle shape, it is more convenient and accurate in measurement, and will not adhere to the container when mixing, so it saves the time of cleaning the container and the machine and the raw materials used in the cleaning machine.
